Malaysia

Embark on a captivating 5-day journey through the diverse landscapes and cultural gems of Malaysia. Here is a narration of my journey through the urban and historical lifestyles of Malaysia. Malaysia offers no visa entrance into their land for Indians in 2024. Start booking your flights to enjoy a budget friendly travel. Day 1-Arrival: Kuala Lumpur International Airport warmly welcomes you. That is your first step to the land of Malay. Get your formalities done and get a simcard for yourself and also exchange your Indian Rupees to Malaysian Ringgits abbreviated as MYR or RM. Each Ringgit is divided into 100 sen. Get to know about the apps common in Malaysia that helps you for your cab service. The famous ones are Grab and AirAsia. We found a very affordable and comfortable stay near the KL Central which helped us to use the monorail services to Imbi etc. Day 2- Malacca: the heritage city:- Malacca is famous for breath-taking sights with rich heritage, also known as the unofficial historic capital of Malaysia. In the 15th Century the Sultanate of Malacca was founded, marking the growth of its esteem and the start of improved trade relations with other countries such as Ming China. To reach Malacca, you can avail the bus services to Malacca Central which is a 2 hours journey from KL Central. You can enjoy authentic Chinese Cuisine from China Town and enjoy the rich heritage of Malacca which includes a lot of old buildings and a Church. Don't forget to try dressing like a typical Malaysian. At night the streets of Malacca is flooded with flee markets for food and clothing. Day 3 - Genting Highlands: To Reach Genting, the most convenient option is to take a bus from KL Sentral, which is the main transportation hub in Kuala Lumpur. From there, you can take the Genting Express Bus or the Skyway Cable Car Bus to Genting Highlands. The skywalk Cable Car ride is a really good experience where you would see outdoor theme park below you. Get down from the Cable Car and you again land up in another mall with lots of indoor games, Casino and authentic food options. These are premium malls and you get only premium products here. Another attraction here is the Chin Swee Caves Temple is a Chinese temple in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. It is situated in the most scenic site of Genting Highlands, on a 28-acre plot of rocky forested land donated by Genting Group. The lightings are beautiful here at night, but the photographs looks better in sunlight. Day 4 Part 1 Batu Caves: Its main attraction is the large statue of Lord Muruga at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps. There is no other way. It's a victory if you climb all the way up. Part 2 Twin Towers: The Petronas Towers are the world's tallest twin skyscrapers and remained the tallest buildings in Malaysia until 2019. Many say its so overrated to climb go till the top. But its a good background for photography. At night you can sit beside the water fountain enjoy its musical dance keeping the towers at the background. Day 5 : Shopping Now that you have seen the major attractions of Malaysia, let's do some shopping. Malaysia is flooded with shopping malls at all ranges. Starting from premium malls selling Chanel and Gucci to malls selling cheaper clothes, shoes and electronics and diecast cars. Suria KLCC,Pavilion Kuala Lumpur,Plaza Berjaya are the best examples.
